Human Rights Day 2020

December 8, 2020

hrd2020-social-card-enOn December 10, 1948, the United Nations (“UN”) General Assembly declared world Human Rights Day. This human rights declaration proclaims the inalienable rights to which every human being is entitled, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. The 2020 theme is in response to the global pandemic: “Recover Better – Stand up for Human Rights.”

Human Rights are at the core of our global recovery and beyond. The UN emphasizes, “We will reach our common global goals only if we are able to create equal opportunities for all, address the failures exposed and exploited by COVID-19, and apply human rights standards to tackle entrenched, systematic, and intergenerational inequalities, exclusion and discrimination.”

At FineLine HR Consulting, we believe in protecting and advancing human rights. We believe in helping employers find the right way to do the right thing — adopting and administering policies, processes and practices that recognize these human rights.
