After a year’s delay because of the COVID-19 public health emergency, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has announced that covered employers must submit two years (2019 and 2020) of EEO-1 Component 1 data by Monday, July 19th, 2021. On June 28, 2021 they extended that deadline to Monday, August 23, 2021.
This report is a mandatory annual data collection that requires all private sector employers with 100 or more employees, and federal contractors with 50 or more employees meeting certain criteria, to submit demographic workforce data, including data by race/ethnicity, sex and job categories.
